TYPES OF MOUNTING: Inside mounted shades will be slightly smaller than the window width by about 0.4 inches and the window height by about 0.25 inches to ensure a proper fit inside the frame. A minimum frame depth of 2 inches is required for secure installation. If your frame depth is less than 2 inches, you should opt for an outside mount. Outside mounted shades should be ordered with the exact width of the area to be covered. This type of mount is used when there is not enough frame depth for an inside mount. All necessary mounting hardware is included for both inside and outside mounts.

INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Step 1: Measure the inside frame width at three locations - top, middle, and bottom. Take the smallest measurement and use it as the inside width when placing your order. Step 2: Measure the height at three locations - left, middle, and right side. Again, record the smallest measurement and use it as the height when placing your order.

OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Step 1: Measure the outside frame width and add 3-6 inches to determine the outside mount width. Step 2: Measure the outside frame length and add 4-6 inches to determine the outside mount length. The additional measurements are recommended to ensure proper coverage and prevent any light gaps.
