TYPES OF MOUNTING: Inside mounted shades will be adjusted to be approximately 0.4" narrower than the window width and 0.25" shorter than the window height in order to fit properly within the window frame. A minimum frame depth of 2 inches is required for secure installation of inside mounted shades. If your window frame depth is less than 2 inches, an outside mount should be selected. Outside mounted shades should be ordered based on the exact width of the area to be covered. Outside mounts are commonly used when there is not enough frame depth for inside mounting. All necessary mounting hardware is included for both inside and outside mounts.

MEASURING FOR INSIDE MOUNT: Step 1. Measure the width of the inside frame at the top, middle, and bottom, and use the smallest measurement as the inside width when placing an order. Step 2. Measure the height at the left, middle, and right sides, and use the smallest measurement as the inside height when ordering.

MEASURING FOR OUTSIDE MOUNT: Step 1. Measure the width of the outside frame and add 3-6 inches to determine the outside mount width. Step 2. Measure the length of the outside frame and add 4-6 inches to determine the outside mount length. It is recommended to have an overlap to ensure proper coverage and prevent light gaps.
