TYPES OF MOUNTING: Inside mounted vertical blinds will undergo a deduction of about 0.4" to ensure a proper fit in the window frame. Inside mounted blinds require a minimum frame depth of 2.4" for secure installation. If your window frame depth is less than 2.4", please opt for outside mount. Outside mounts are often utilized when there is inadequate frame depth for inside mounting. Our window shades come with all necessary mounting hardware for both inside and outside mount installations.

MEASUREMENT FOR INSIDE MOUNTING: Step 1: Measure the inside frame width at three locations - the top, middle, and bottom. Record the smallest of the three measurements and deduct 0.4" to get your inside width for ordering. Step 2: Measure the height at three locations - the left, middle, and right side. Record the smallest measurement and subtract 0.4" for your inside height when placing an order.

MEASUREMENT FOR OUTSIDE MOUNTING: Step 1: Measure the outside frame width and add 8" to get the outside mount width. Step 2: For French windows, measure from 2.4" above the top window frame to 0.4" above the ground. For windowsill windows, measure from 2.4" above the top window frame to 4" below the bottom window frame. Overlap is recommended to ensure proper coverage and prevent light gaps.

For sizes not listed, we can customize widths from 32" to 98" and heights from 20" to 118". For windows wider than 98", you can order two blinds to cover the area. Please ensure accurate measurements and contact us with any questions.
